When his wife’s dog chewed up the quilt his grandma made when he was a baby, Chris needed something to cuddle up in and he needed it fast! This 80 x 80 quilt was made as simply as possible with him in mind.
Because he’s a cowboy in Wyoming, I wanted his quilt to reflect the west, so I used batiks with the famed horse and rider that is also on the license plates, bullriders, bears, paw prints, and buffalo to represent the school where Chris teaches.
He asked if the quilt would “have those little diamonds in it,” so I used the Diamond Text quilting panto from Melissa Kelly at Sew Shabby Quilting.
Sweet dreams, Chris!
